  • The three chicks now are barely just big enough for me to see their heads above the nest.
  • Feeding time after a successful hunt.
  • The dinner bell rings again.
  • Growing, becoming more visible above the nest.
  • Lots of feedings, the parents are busy.
  • exercising those down-covered wings
  • Growing good and getting color
  • There's a rascal in every bunch, he tugs playfully on his siblings tail feather, or maybe it's a she tugging.

  • This one could not wait to try flying and had a short glide to the ground. He was not injured and I was told he later got back up to the nest.
  • He seems to know, fences make good neighbors.
  • As I was shooting with a longer lens, others kept getting closer with smart phones, he became nervous and began to vocalize, which in hawk language means "momma". It was then time for all to leave him alone.
